When will this stop? Maybe never. As long as we have domestic helpers working here, maybe never. This will just be another statistic.
Kuwaiti soldier admits to murder, rape of Filipina
KUWAIT CITY (AFP): A Kuwaiti soldier has been charged with murdering and then raping a Filipina domestic helper whose naked body was found in the desert 10 days ago, a newspaper reported on Monday. The soldier confessed to beating the victim to death and then raping her before dumping her corpse in the desert, claiming he was under the influence of alcohol, Al-Qabas daily quoted a security source as saying.
The victim, named as Fatima Sagadan Maulana in earlier press reports, went missing on May 9 and her decomposing body was found a week later in the Kabad desert southwest of Kuwait City. Al-Qabas said the soldier killed Mualana after she refused to sleep with him, and added that the married man with four children was an alcoholic. About 73,000 Filipinos work in Kuwait. Some 60,000 are women employed mainly as maids and earning less than 200 dollars a month on average, labour groups say.

Make your argument count swat. Please stay on the topic instead of labeling me as selfish, domestic helper hater and other sort of baseless accusation. Don't make your point thru character assasination.
My idea of limited or total exportation ban of Super Maids (in the mideast) didn't only sprout from uplifting the Filipino social image but mainly came from the fact that nothing is being done about their miserable flight. Are you fully aware of what's goin on? Our women are being abused, molested, raped! Is justice being served? No!
Because of their miserable life back home (as you were saying), they are being lured into working in a hazardous environment.
Sending your mother, sister or wife in a harms way can never justify your need for food, clothing or education. As I said before, Filipinos are resilient people. Ban the maids and they will surely find a way to work as skilled workers.
Goodluck on your plan on how to change our image, I hope you will succeed. Be a good employee and hope that Filipinos will be stereotyped as one!
atleast im doing something to change our image here....instead of pointing fingers (to groups of
OFW) why we have this kind of social status in kuwait.

j3k2.....maybe your just pessimistic or plainly selfish
with what your saying you dont pity them...you just hate them period.... (slaves)maybe your part of the aristocrats in kuwait.
ah well or maybe im just talking to the most successful filipino in kuwait....(or drowning in it)
you only highlight bad news regarding OFW (DH) in kuwait....
take a look at the otherside of the coin....
Measly salary....(40KD) in philippines
food, clothing, education for their children..
1, 2, 3 less children off the streets back home...because of the measly salary.
atleast im doing something to change our image here....instead of pointing fingers (to groups of OFW) why we have this kind of social status in kuwait.
you know small little ways adds up....
