I think I've been there before, probably 4 years ago. It was my first taste of Thai food and I realy can't remember how it was. It's a bit far from where we are now but if we ever go there we'll try it again and compare it with Pattaya (this is the best for me so far).
If you like Indian food, go to Indigo in Shaab and try the buttered chicken dish. Indigo is a lot better than Mughal Mahal.
Ranggoli is another nice Indian restaurant it's either in Palms or SAS Hotel (not so sure, sorry). Our neighbor's been raving about it. He warned us though that after eating there you're going to have vivid dreams at night. He said, the same thing happened to his colleague. Must be the spices on the food but the food is excellent. We will try it soon and see if I'm going to vivid dreams after. I hope they're nice ones though!

I made this review from another forum, maybe you wanna try this out:
Just came back from Baan! It was indeed a mouth watering experience. The place can easily be located since it is just behind the Al Ghalia Towers. If you're from Salmiya or Kuwait City area, just take Road 30 and exit at Fintas Bridge. Go left towards Coastal Road (Egaila Beach). After only around 5 minutes and two stoplights, you can see the Towers on your right and group of restaurants on the other side of the road (Ruby Tuesday, Al Noukhaza, Pepe's Pizza and Sakura). Take right turn on the immediate road after Al Ghalia Towers. Baan is located 250 meters straight. The place is small but clean and cozy. Many Americans can be found eating inside.
Tom Yum is delicious! I ordered the seafood variety and it was served in a metal pot with flame beneath (so as to keep the soup hot) . The herbs and spices are blended not to be dominantly sour or spicy. Everytime I take a sip, it feels like I'm savoring variety of soup. It all depends on the herbs & spices that came along in each scoop.
I also tried Rad Naa. It's a rice noodle topped with seafood and stir fried vegies. Compared to other pasta based noodles, this one is not bland. It has distinct taste and can be compared to a chinese yam but softer. The Chicken Pad See Ew is perfect for my egg fried rice. The vegetable on the chicken is a bit bitter but that is where the uniqueness of the dish lies. I also grabbed a couple of Thai tea. For .250 fils, it is quite cheap.
Everything I ate looks and tastes fresh. This can be the reason why the service is quite slow. They cook your food as you order. But the thai waitress is very accomodating so I am not complaining.
