Kuwait don't initially provide working visa if you are in the Phils. You will only get visit/tourist or dependent visa. We are lucky because there is a new law from Phil wrt direct hire. .. it has pros and cons.... i'll check site if its posted ...

long time no post here as i am very busy sa trabaho. I replied to this post again dahil someone was asking me about visit visa, last september ata eh ngayon lang ako naka pagonline pasensiya na manny hope you are here in kuwait already, so here's what happend and what documents did i bring.
this only pertains to a direct hire or visit/tourist visa..
the needed requirements and documents are:
1. Visit/Tourist visa - issued by company (should be original when presenting to the immigration)
2. letter of invitation by company (also original)
Note:
these two are being asked and a requirement when purchasing round trip plane ticket from any airline, in my case the company has already purchased a round trip ticket for me then the only documents i presented to the airline are the two documents mentioned above, lacking of those items, the airline will refuse to give the plane tickets.
3. Letter of accomodation of hotel (optional) but its better if you have, in my case i have this one.
4.Passport of course
5. at least 1000 extra for the airport terminal fee, and if im not mistaken you will pay an air tax around 1,750 Php to the ariline.
and that's it..
when presenting to the immigration officer just be cool and be yourself, some immigration officer will question so many things like i experience before(manila).
some of the questions they asked me are:
what are you going to do in kuwait?
why are you going to kuwait? what's the reason?
where are you working right now?
if your are going to be questioned just answer and please be ready ahead of time to answer these questions or they may be other questions, try also to ask someone who already experience this kind of situation so that you could prepare what to answer.
some immigration officer will not even ask you, they will just scan the documents and let you go.
When you arrived in kuwait international airport the immigration officer will not even ask nor look at you as long as you have the visa and your good to go they will just stamp the passport.
my girlfriend is already here in kuwait and she did the same procedure i did, she was never questioned by the immigration officer in cebu the only diffrence is i was in manila. I've asked the company to get her here and asked for the required documents booked here a round trip ticket and the next day i woke up she was here in kuwait, thanks to GoD! Then after a month she got accepted in a hotel.
and im happily married now to my girlfriend, thanks to God Again!

Hi Mac,
Pag pumunta ka sa city, marami Filipino restaurants doon. May mga stores din that caters to Filipinos, you can go there to do some supermarket shopping.

saan ka sa kuwait? hanap ka ng kfc or mcdonalds malapit sau. filipino food, bihira yan dito. pero may mabibilhan ka naman. hirap nga lang hanapin. good luck!
