Filipino Passport - 2008/04/06 23:55
We were supposed to travel to Cyprus this week for a short holiday. Tickets were ready, suitcases were packed and I was very excited. Then 2 days before we were about to leave, I suddenly remembered, I need to get a visa (how stupid is that?). We can't get it the next day because it would take at least 4 days to get the visa. I completely forgot about it and so did my husband. He's so used to travelling without the hassle of getting a visa everytime he leaves Kuwait because he's a Brit. To make the story short we will have to postpone Cyprus in May - hopefully.
I don't know if you can imagine how mega pissed off I was. All of a sudden, I was reminded again about how hard it can be to have a Filipino passport sometimes or (most of the time). Don't get me wrong, I am happy to be a Filipino. But I have to say, travelling if you have a Filipino passport it's not very easy (based on my experience anyway). It's such a palaver and sometimes I find it stressful.
Well, now we are off to Muscat because apparently I won't need a visa. Hallelujah! So I'm keeping my fingers crossed! I really hope there won't be any snags anymore because I badly need a break. Sorry for ranting. Just venting my frustrations! Anyway, wish me luck???
