I'm afraid not. The deserts here are plain, flat and mine-filled sand! Nothing really exciting. We used to go to the desert in the North part of Kuwait for a barbecue. Just gray sand, that's all. But you can go camping and at night you can do star gazing, if you're into that sort of stuff. But for photo ops I don't think there's going to be a lot of interesting things for you to take pictures of, some bugs maybe? But I could be wrong.
