I worked in the Middle East for 6 years and recently came back home two months ago, working for a travel agency now.
Sadly, our country hasn't changed much in terms of keeping our environment clean. I believe and I am sure that you agree that our government has been actively promoting Tourism internationally and there is no doubt about it. Having visited some other countries like Bahrain and Dubai our Capital- Manila is supposed to be the role model city of the country for cleanliness. If other countries can keep their city clean, why can't we?
Is there something wrong with the government system or with our Filipino fellowmen who only say they are as patriotic, but lack of will to make things happen. Let us not dispute why we are not disciplined.. there are just many endless reasons. We can act now as ONE by spreading the awareness of promoting REAL TOURISM with our individual effort to act upon it.It is not too late but TODAY is the time to start with a single step and make a journey towards becoming one of the cleanest countries in the world... and every progress will follow.
