Re:Salaries & Benefits in Kuwait - 2009/02/12 03:51
good day! I am a registered nurse in the ER department in a local tertiary hospital in Mandaluyong City here in the philippines for 1 year. I am bound for Kuwait by last week ng Feb to 1st week daw po ng march. My job offer is for a school nurse in an English school (English playgroup in Salmiyah). The salary offer is 200kd that's a bit low isn't it? Free accomodation, medical in Kuwait, uniform etc. Ask ko lang po is there a room for salary increase talaga because the employer once said that there are increments per year depending on the performance.
Puede po ba mag partime job? Anu kaya pede partime job dyan?
Sa ibang English school po magkanu po ba ang salary ng School Nurse and wahta are the requirements? 2years kasi contract ko plan ko tapusin and then lipat sa Canada pero kung walang magiging job offer sa akin lipat na lang ako ng ibang school sa Kuwait if di magtaas ng salary samin.

hehe, I should have read the postings closely. May post na pala sa question ko. Although I am surprised about the rate. I am way off in my projection. I thought it's a lot more than that. I'm thinking around 4 digit monthly figure.

Hi,

PT's rate are depends on her/his nationality, qualifications and also it really depends on how big the hospital/clinic was.

Private Rehab Clinic (Exclusive):

Canadians - 1,500 KD (minimum)
Kuwaitis - 1,750 KD (minimum)
Pinay-Admin Staff - 500 KD & above

Note: If youre already in Kuwait, you can find lots of Private Rehab clinic that offers competitive salary package. I have friend who is a PT grad form Pinas but she cant work as a PT (hands-on) here because she's just pinay( you know what I mean), so she preferred working as a PT Assitant but she's paid very well.

Hi Jayzel,
Do you know if they need admin people? i'm looking for a new job now. hope you can help me. thanks!

Hi Jayzel, I really appreciate your input.I am very shock to hear about the plight of filipino PT's there. Sounds awful pero Im curious what qualification and experience they have? I'm not quite sure kung nag-evolve na ang PT profession sa Pinas. PT's in Europe and North America have evolved into entry level doctorate which is similar to having a clinical doctorate in medicine or dentistry et al. Hence, new PT's have more training in diagnostics and treatment. PT's are becoming primary care practitioners for musculoskeletal disorders. PT's are no longer technician for the doctors but peers/specialists in evaluating and treating these problems. I am not surprise kung bakit medyo slow ang progress ng PT profession sa Pinas. Most if not all tend to leave the country as soon as they get the chance. I personally plan to retire back home in 5 years to contribute to the profession. I may teach or do something to help uplift the profession. In the meantime, I need to save up some cash. I thank you so much for the info. This will help me negotiate better with the employer.

Jay
