Re:how are shopping malls doing in kuwait - 2008/06/17 14:12
Kuwait is fairly an open country. The shops don't stop every prayer time. Small shops close during lunch break, about 4 hours but not the big malls.
You can go out anytime you want. No curfews except for the maids and for some people working as sales assistant etc, but not all esp if you have white collar job.
During Ramadan, you can't eat in public.
There are no discos here, no bars, alcohol is not allowed. But a lot of people here still manage to get hold of some booze, depends on who you know.
But don't worry, you can have parties in your flat, men and women together, you can have "discos" and do karaoke with your friends.
You'll learn more about Kuwait once you get here. There are bad things here and there are good things here as well.
